ATLANTA (Aug. 4, 2010) - Plans filed today with the state of Georgia provide some interesting insight into what Green Street Properties, Jamestown and Marthasville Development plan to do with an 87-acre brownfield site on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in south Cobb County. The development team led by Green Street, which Jamestown acquired in December 2008, plans to create Riverview on the Chattahoochee, a large mixed-use development with 240,000 square feet of commercial space and 2,180 residential units.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Green Street and Jamestown's plans last summer, but little has been written about it since. Today's DRI filing sheds some light into the development team's ambitious plans for this part of south Cobb County. The industrial land is owned by Riverview Industries, according to the filing.
No before you go screaming, "What! We don't need any more commercial or residential right now!" Green Street and Co. say the project won't be completed till 2017. We'll surely be out of this real estate recession by then. Right?
I saw this project posted on bidclerk recently... have you heard any updates about it?
